Changelogs: Week of June 29, 2026

By PolarGrid Team

This week, we added Illinois and Arizona to the PolarGrid network and improved Voice-to-Voice turn detection.

Illinois and Arizona are live on the PolarGrid network

Two new US edge nodes are now part of the PolarGrid network. Chicago covers the Midwest and provides a materially lower-latency option for the central US compared to routing through Dallas or New York. Phoenix extends coverage to the Southwest.

Both nodes are immediately available as selectable regions in the dashboard, playground, and both the JS and Python SDKs. Intelligent auto-routing, health monitoring, and automatic failover are active from day one.

PersonaPlex turn detection tuned

PersonaPlex was ending turns too early, cutting off responses mid-sentence when a natural pause in speech was being read as the end of a turn.

The silence gate — the threshold that determines when a turn is considered complete — is now configurable per deployment. The default threshold has been amended so that a normal pause within a sentence no longer triggers a handoff. The result is a voice interaction that waits for a genuine end-of-turn signal rather than the first moment of quiet.

For teams building voice agents on PersonaPlex, the threshold is now an exposed parameter. If your use case involves domain-specific speech patterns, technical terminology, deliberate pauses, or languages with different prosodic rhythms, you can tune it to match.
